Ty is a New York-based actor who thrives on music and comedy, but loves to show his tender side. With his witty comebacks, pop rock belting, and a love for power ballads, he is a nice blend of energy and sensitivity.
Originally from North Dakota, Ty holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from UND. After graduating and marrying his One & Only, he moved to Chicago, the city with amazing pizza, fantastic festivals, and one giant bean. After three years, Ty left The Windy City for The Big Apple and now calls New York City home.
Some of Ty’s favorite Chicago endeavors were: working with Emerald City Theatre, Underscore and the Chicago Musical Theatre Festival, playing the half-witted Sam Loomis in BATES: An 80’s Musical Psycho Parody with The Public House Theatre, and performing with multiple cabarets around the area. He has worked with other regional theatres including The Public Theatre in L/A, Maine and Red Barn Theatre in Indiana. In his last year in Chicago, you might have seen him starring as Tyler Moore in the long running show We Gotta Bingo with Chicago Theater Works!
Since moving to NYC, Ty has delved into the theater community. He’s part of a barbershop quartet, has performed in a cabaret, and has made his Off-Broadway debut, starring in the new musical, A Bit Too Much About Me written by Zak Sandler. As of September, Ty is playing Cap’n Turbot in the National Tour of Nickelodeon’s Paw Patrol Live!, which is paw-sitively paw-some!
Aside from being an Actor, Ty works as a Supervisor for an arts enrichment program, is a Teaching Artist, and a Social Media Enthusiast.
